April 26, 1944 Dear Margaret, I completed an interesting autopsy and am now sweating out the paper work. We are now required to make seventeen copies, and everyone gets a copy except the President. This is proving to be a wonderful experience. Never again shall I write down as much as a telephone number without making three copies, one for myself and one forwarded to Washington. What a life! Much love, Herb |
