Dear Margaret,

We had a USO show today put on by the group who came over on the boat. They had many tall stories to tell. They each lost about twenty pounds, but they are fit and fighting. They seemed like long-lost, old friends. They are coming back tomorrow, and we are going to give them a party at the officers' club.
