How can you become involved?

Members of the East Afrian Refugee and Immigrant Community who are interested in joining the team developing narratives and images, or participating in narrative discussion sessions shoould contact Sahra Abdi <unitedwomenofeastafrica@gmail.com>.

Volunteers and Interns: at this time we are particularly interested in college/university students, professionals and others with skills or knowledge to:

      • Provide translation (among Somali, Amharic, Arabic,and/or English) for our workshops, graphic narrative development, and narrative intervention session;

      • Assist in providing instruction in graphic design and web development for our trainging workshops;

      • Assist in coding of our app interface;

      • Serve as co-facilitators for our narrative intervention sessions (Social Workers, Psychologists, or MFT students/residents)
