June 6 – Ed Hutchins: The consequences of taking embodiment seriously

Taking embodiment seriously requires a reorganization of many of the foundational assumptions of cognitive science. In this talk I will try to show how radical embodiment changes in our notions of the relations between action and thought, the nature of Aha! insight, and even the origins of human intelligence.
