Dr. Sanford Schane is a Research Professor of Linguistics at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). He does research and teaches a course in the area of law and language. He serves as an expert witness and as a consultant to attorneys for such diverse language-related issues as:

·        contract interpretation

·        textual ambiguity

·        wills and trusts

·        defamations

·        author identification

·        trade marks

Dr. Schane is a member of the Linguistic Society of America, the International Association of Forensic Linguists, and the Forensic Expert Witness Association, San Diego chapter.
