Ngogo: located 10km southeast of Kanyawara connected by a 12km game trail. Study area 0° 29' to 0° 31'N; 30° 24'to 30° 26'E. Study area is 6.5km2, 0.5km2

Between 1977-1983 the daily max & min tems were 23.3°C(S.D. = 0.06) and 16.2°C (S.D. = 0.4).

Mean annual rainfall, 1977-1984 was 1,570mm (SD = 200mm)

Ngogo: precipitation was 1,664mm during 1977, Rainy season from March-May, another from Sept-Nov. Two drier seasons between these.
