July 8, 1944 Dear Margaret, I am convinced that the moon down here is bigger than in Pennsylvania. Coming up over the horizon last night and half-hidden by wispy clouds, the moon looked like the paper maché that I always considered so ridiculous and unnatural. Much love, Herb |
