Dear Margaret,

Here are more details about the trip I took. We passed thousands of ant hills, some as high as seven feet. I don't know how hard they are, but they look like molten lava. We also saw much coral which tells that this part of the country was formerly under sea. The roads around here are fierce. One of the roads over the mountain was one way -- east to west in the morning and return in the afternoon. We traveled over the edge of a precipice, and the Australian drier traveled with an abandon that was breath-taking -- and me a married man with dependents.

Much love,

Herb
