Dear Margaret,

For the past several days we have had an unusual kind of inspector visiting us. The usual one looks for dirt and bad records. But this one was here for the sole purpose of helping us out -- quite unusual in the Army. He was professor of medicine at one of the medical schools, and his job is to visit, see patients, aid in diagnoses, suggest therapy, etc. It is a swell idea and very good for morale. He slept over at our quarters and proved to be a regular fellow. He told us some of his experiences.

Much love,

Herb
