I’m a PhD candidate in the department of political science at UC San Diego. My dissertation will be completed in June of 2007. My primary field of study is international relations; my secondary field is comparative politics. My work focuses on global human rights institutions, international human rights law, and regional trends among states in the ratification of human rights treaties. Between August of 2004 and June of 2006 I served as a lecturer in the San Diego State department of political science. I taught two classes per semester that addressed the links between politics and law, with specific focus on civil rights.
