Audience Cost Theory and Its Audiences
Branislav L. Slantchev
Abstract
This response to Trachtenberg's (2012) critique of audience cost theory argues that (a) he failed to take into account the numerous developments of the theory since Fearon's (1994) original specification, and (b) the evidence presented in many of the cases is unpersuasive as is sometimes the interpretation of these cases.
