Researching neuroscience professionally and everything else just for fun
Hello and welcome! I am a PhD candidate under the guidance of Douglas A. Nitz in the Department of Cognitive Science at UC San Diego. I am especially curious about brains and cognition from a computation standpoint - how do we accomplish so much effortlessly that our current computers are incapable of? My work utilizes spatial navigation in rats as a systems neuroscience problem to investigate the network and circuitry that accomplishes this complex task. For fun, I play sports to stay active and enjoy going to as much live music as possible.
