Museum Visit Details:

You are required to visit the San Diego Museum of Art and the Mingei Museum on or before January 26th, There will be two group visits to the museums: one on Tuesday, January 25 and one on Wednesday, January, 26th. If you join us on either of those dates then admission to the San Diego Museum of Art will be free. Educational admission to the Mingei Museum is $3 with the presentation of a valid student ID. The San Diego Museum will cost you $7 if you come on your own and present a student ID.

What I want you to see:

* At the San Diego Museum of Art: The Past in Reverse Exhibition (contemporary art from South-East Asia), as well as the Asian art gallery, and one of the galleries devoted to European art from the past.
* At the Mingei Museum: Elemental Art Of The Indonesian Archipelago, and the Navajo Tapestries.If you have time, there are other interesting exhibits including one on origami and on dolls and toys.

Our group visits:

We will be meeting at the San Diego Museum of Art at 10 am on both days of the group visits and proceeding to the Mingei Museum at about 11am. We should be done by about noon. You are required to arrange your own transportation.
